Hi! I'm Abhilasha, and I do everything 3D.

Everything 3D includes: 3D art, modelling, game asset creation, and optimisation. Recently, I’ve been working with Lidar-based 3D scanning, exploring the easiest workflows to optimise those assets for real-time engines like Unity and Unreal, especially for VR experiences.

I got into game design during my time at Parsons. I’ve always loved video games, but I used to be intimidated by the idea of making them. I call myself a 3D artist and storyteller in all my presentations, but until recently, I mostly stuck to storyboarding and graphic novels. I wanted to take it a step further and give the viewer agency.

So… I made a game. It’s called Last Night. Inspired by walks with my cat, who stops to sniff things I would usually overlook, it’s a narrative walking sim where you’re bug-sized, exploring a forest to figure out what happened the night before. I used environmental storytelling and sound design to let the story unfold subtly as the player explores.

But that’s not all I do. I also have experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, motion graphics, and creating 3D animations and visuals for MTV India. I’ve also worked as a freelance illustrator for a queer blog called Gaysi.

As a Teaching Assistant at Parsons, I supported students with Unity and storytelling. It taught me a lot about balancing my own creative work while making sure students had the guidance they needed to bring their projects to life.

I’m always eager to learn more.
